 Timeline for December 2010 Exam Scholarship

  1. Application Period: Deadline - July 5, 2010 (Monday)
  2. Interview of Shortlisted Applicants - July 12 to July 23, 2010
  3. Release of Results: July 26, 2010 

 SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION FOR DECEMBER 2010 IS NOW OPEN

The CFA Philippines Scholarship Committee is now opening the scholarship application for December 2010.  Requirements and application form can be downloaded in the link below. All scholarship applications must be sent to ekimgarcia@gmail.com.  The application closes on July 5, 2010. Good luck!

 CFA Society Scholarship Program

In line with its goal of promoting and enhancing the competence and integrity of investment professionals in the country, the Chartered Financial Analyst Society of the Philippines (CFAP) is offering the CFA Society Scholarship Program (CFASSP).  The scholarship program is aimed at attracting the best and brightest people to the investment profession, and consequently increasing the number and quality of the membership of CFAP.

General Eligibility Requirement

 Applicants to the CFASSP must meet any of the following minimum entrance requirements set for the CFA Program:

1.       Have a Bachelor’s Degree;

2.       Be in the final year of a Bachelor’s Degree Program;

3.       Have four (4) years of qualified work experience; and

4.       Have a combination of work and college experience of at least four (4) years.

No applicant shall be discriminated on the basis of race, nationality, religion, or gender.

 Criteria 

1.       Ability to pass, as shown by academic records and / or CFA examination results for candidates who will be taking Level II and Level III examinations;

2.       Financial need, considering among others the income of the applicant as well as the number of his or her dependents;

3.       Volunteerism spirit and potential to contribute to the activities of the society, taking into consideration the applicant’s extra-curricular activities and skills; and

4.       Career direction, where applicant must be working or must have the intention of working in finance, investment, and other related fields.

 Professor CFA® Scholarship Program

This program offers reduced costs for full-time college or university professors enrolling in the CFA Program.

Who is eligible?

Full-time professors who teach a minimum of six credit hours per quarter or semester or administrators/department heads who teach three hours per quarter or semester at one university. The university must offer a U.S. bachelor’s (or equivalent) degree or higher. Applicants must fulfill all CFA candidate requirements to register.
